in mid july, our family traveled to camp zephyr about an hour north of corpus christi. joey was asked to lead worship at the kids camp for 2 of the sessions. it was a really great experience. the camp took such good care of us, there was tons of fun things to do, and we got to spend the week with kristin and andy and the boys.
the pond
all 5 boys
some of the wildlife....ew!
logan is so sweet with graham. love their little bond.
on wednesday, we had a little break between camps and decided to head towards corpus to hopefully hang out on the beach. it ended up pouring so we ate at this restaurant straight from 1979 when it opened. all i could do was laugh at the decor and try to avoid touching anything. memories were made though :)
erfan (the guitartist/archery instructor) helping max with his form
playing gaga ball and signing autographs at dinner
the golf cart rides were highlights for everyone, including this mom who didn't want to carry her almost 2 year old everywhere
graham helps ray (the drummer) and daddy go over the set list
relaxing one night with a little tom & jerry
they had 3 bounce houses inside that we were allowed to use whenever the camp kids were not..what a life saver. we spent probably at least an hour there each day.
a little slingshot action
uncle andy played with all the boys in the pool one morning. he and graham would "push" the big boys into the pool. fun for everyone :)
getting into the maniacs costumes on our last day
ian and max on the slide in the pond
best buds tysen and max
although the camp was hard work for the band and the mommies, we all had a great time. i am so proud of joey and his pursuit to glorify God by using his talents to lead others in worship. we sing for an audience of one and the camp kids went away knowing that. can't wait for camp zephyr 2014!
