soccer and stitches

our neighbors and good friends invited graham to play soccer with their son.  soccer hadn't gone too well in the fall but we thought with a coach he knew and a friend on the team, our timid one needed another go at the sport.  and it has been such a blessing.  he plays hard, hustles, is competitive and has scored many goals.

we hadn't even made it halfway through the season when we had to miss some practices and games due to an unfortunate playground incident.  graham tripped going up some stairs and hit his ear just right, leaving us at the ER getting 3 stitches.  this was a first for all of us and i was so proud of how brave this kid was.  he was torn between being shy about the attention and wanting us to tell everyone   about his hurt ear.
