spring break-ish

spring break was filled with the busyness of getting ready to move, but we still enjoyed some fun.

we went to six flags, max lost his first tooth, and spent time with family.

one of the evenings, we were playing a game with my family and max got scared by one of the topics about dead people.  that night, he was truly frightened when getting ready for bed.  joey and i talked to him and joey prayed for him.  a few evenings later, my parents took the boys to the park and on the way home they got in a discussion about death and being baptized.  max told my parents he had asked jesus into his heart the night he was scared.  so that night after dinner he told joey and i.  of course we were so excited! joey and max had a discussion about what it meant and max really gets it. jesus is in his heart!  of course, now he just wants to know when we can celebrate.  we told him when he is ready to be baptized we will have a party afterward.

we also went rock climbing for keaton's birthday

the next week, the other vanderveers were in town so we played hooky from school and played, also enjoying time with the brotherhood.

that week, max also had his first field trip to the sea life aquarium.  it was so fun to tag along with him and his class.

another highlight was the wedding of my beautiful friend lyndsay.  this group of girls is so dear to my heart...girls trip for ever!!!
