here's a fun little post about the crazy month of december at the vanderveers.
the first weekend in december we headed to san antonio for some fun.
sunday evening, we are at fiesta texas when we get a call. the house we are renting in denton has flooded. 2 inches of water everywhere. breathe.
we head home the next day, my 34th birthday. while in the car we send an email to nisd to see about teaching positions in the fall for joey as he is feeling a need to make a change. yes there is a position. at roanoke elementary where he used to teach. beginning in january. breathe.
(side note, on our way home our windshield gets a huge crack :(
over the next week, we move out of our rent house and back in with my parents (ironically one year to the date we moved in with them last year). we deal with the insurance mess, i wreck joeys truck, get hit by a huge acorn :) and joey applies for a new job. breathe.
9 days out from the flood, joey has a new job. we will be moving to north fort worth and leaving crosspointe. max will change elementary schools-again. and i will reorganize our lives again.
at the time i am writing this, we have begun our new schedule. it has been a hard few days. mostly because i am so sick of dealing with all the paperwork mess that comes with transition. its exhausting.
but joey is happy. i mean "wake up with a smile about going to work" happy. i am happy for him. i like being at my parents with little stress. max likes his new school and already has a best friend. i found a mothers day out for graham with a spot opening in feb. olivia is an easy and cute baby, and she's not crawling yet :)
and we made it. we made it. we made it.
with God by our side and showing us the way, we will make it.
