so remember that time the vanderveer's sold a house in haslet, then found a new house in denton, but it wasn't going to be ready in time, so they moved in with kyle's parents for a month or so and the day they decided to move a huge ice storm moved in and they got moved just in the nick of time. yep, i do.
without the help of friends and family on a freezing cold thursday night, i'm not sure when we would of moved, but as it turned out, we made it to my parents just in time to be iced in for a few days. these days were a huge blessing as we needed some time to relax and spend time adjusting and settling in to my parent's house, and also to have some fun as a family.
graham would play for a bit, but he was unsure about walking on the ice because he slipped a lot.
max loved the "snow" and wanted to go out as much as we would let him!
my 33rd birthday came and went while we were iced in. joey and i were able to adventure out for dinner and a movie and we spent my birthday at home because church was cancelled. it was a nice, relaxing day.
joey commented that i seem more rested, relaxed, and happy. i am. we are settled for the time being and many of my huge stresses have been relieved. we are looking forward to closing on both our haslet house and new denton home this week. and after christmas we will begin the process of getting our new home ready...we've got some work to do but i'm excited to pick paint colors, flooring, and make some changes that will make it a great house for our growing family!
