camping and comfort

oh fall traditions.  how i love thee.  first on the list, camping with the inlaws.
this year joeys uncle randy and aunt julie and their families came too.  so even more crazy stories were told around the campfire!

hiking

there's a lizard in this picture somewhere

learnin' 'bout nature

"mom, take of picture of me pretending to sleep outside"

"ball"

we had to teach anslie about swords and boy stuff.  at one point our kids looked more like we had gone to the beach then camping from the sand all over their bodies!

i think he was whining about his chocolate being gone :)

oh smores. how i love thee.
(and all the yummy other food ana and papaw prepared-thanks for another great trip!)

so tagged on to the end of our camping trip was a getaway to a b&b in comfort texas for joey and i.  there is an amazing ministry that gives pastors and their wives 2 free nights a year to "retreat".  our good family friends are the chaplains of the ministry so thats how we heard about it.
comfort is a cute town about 25 minutes from fredricksburg with an up and coming vibe.  yummy restaurants (even though theres only a few to choose from), cute shops, and lots of relaxing made it a perfect getaway for us and another fall tradition that we will not be missing!
