the count down continues...and this week brought some changes to my body.
on monday, towards the end of the school day, i started having some pretty bad cramping in my lower abdomen. i tried not to think much of it as i got ready to go home but by the time i got home, i felt the need to look up what could be the cause. all the books said that a call to the dr was in order so thats what i did. i knew that while i waited for the dr to call me back i needed to stay off my feet and take it easy and after about 1 hour, the cramping seemed to subside, only reoccuring when i got up and walked around. when the dr called later that afternoon, we were told just to keep an eye on the amount of "contractions" i was having and she encouraged me to be a couch potato for the rest of the day...joey and i were not worried but glad to know that this was normal and not a big deal.
well, tuesday morning rolls around and now the pain has moved to my upper inner thigh area...which is where the change to my body comes in. we had to make a walmart run and the pain was bad enough where i felt the need to walk with my legs spread apart...otherwise known as the pregnancy waddle. thats right, i was officially waddling...joey was doing his best not to laugh, but since i have been pregnant i have been saying that i will not do the pregnancy walk....you know it, hand on lower back, legs spread wide, and looking similar to a penguin....well, those hopes are lost!
i had a dr's appt today and all of these aches and pains are very normal and are just caused by baby v and the adjustments he/she is making to get ready for the big day. we praise God that He has blessed us with such a healthy pregnancy and if waddling is the worst of it, then i know i am a lucky girl!

you waddle all you want! ;) i always made fun of gals that waddled, too, but when you get to end and have that "i've been riding on a stationary bike for 6 hours" feeling ... waddling is the only thing you can do. hang in there ... you're on the home stretch!
