date 5 was planned to be a date to a diner, but instead we went to joey's FAVORITE place... this guy loves to eat and watch a movie at the same time...

we saw robin hood and it was good...an interesting take on an old tale....but i couldn't help but hum the disney's robin hood theme a few times during it :)

this date was a much needed break from the end of the school year/beginning of summer/new job/house on the market craziness that is our life right now....i'm so ready for summer!!!!!

let me introduce myself

hi, my name is kyle and and i'm an EpiPen mom and wife.
my husband is allergic to peanuts.
my son is allergic to eggs and peanuts.
the peanuts are easy to avoid bc i've been doing that for almost 6 years. i know which labels to look at and what to avoid. i know to use my knife in the jelly first and then the peanut butter when making a pbj. i know to sit on the other side of the room while eating my reeses. i know that the smell of peanut mms is nauseating.
but the eggs, oh the eggs. this is a new one...like, did you know the central market grilled cheese has egg in it? neither did i. did you know little ceasars pizza crust has egg in it? neither did i. did you know that i am not a "researcher" by nature, that i dislike checking labels, and that i like going out to eat because i don't have to worry about food when i do? all that is about to change for the love of one little man.
the positive side of it all: God provided this information before we left for honduras where one of the main meal ingredients is egg. and egg allergies are 85% outgrow able.
any egg free recipes or websites you love? i guess i'll start my research...

18 months

my feelings exactly...where did my baby go?
max is such a big boy. at his 18 month appt he was 35 inches tall (98%) and weighed 27lbs (67%). he LOVES to climb on everything and does well entertaining and playing by himself. he has just recently starting watching tv and enjoys The Imagination Movers (well at least for a few minutes). he says new words all the time...."hi", "bye", "momma", "daddy", "pease"-please, "du, duh"-thank you, "night-night", "no", "no"-but shaking his head yes so it means yes-, "eat" and my recent favorite is "gud"-good. when i get him up in the morning i ask him "how was your night-night?" and he will answer "gud"....it's so cute! max is also getting very fast and loves to run...especially down ramps.
we recently went to the splash park and max had a fun time! i can't wait to get him in the pool this summer!

"briwee"

i have had the pleasure of watching this little princess this school year.... ...isn't she cute?!? it's been really fun to watch her and max grow and change. when i first started watching "briwee" she was only 3 months old and max wasn't even crawling....and now they chase each other around the house!
they love our wagon walks!

"briwee, briwee, briwee"
(i think he wanted to give her high five)

it has been so good for max to learn to share his toys (and his mommy) with precious briley...thanks daniel and melissa for entrusting us with your baby girl. she truly is a cutie!

all growed up

on saturday, my brother tyler graduated from southwestern university in georgetown....he did it in 4 years....and he will start a job teaching english in Taiwan in july. ummm....i'm suddenly feeling a little old.
we were lucky that max fell asleep during the 1st speech (that's right-1st)...but we were unlucky to have the loudest cheering family in front of us who woke him up when their kids named was called...they also woke up the 3 other friends/family members who decided to take naps during the graduation!

joey and i trying to keep ourselves entertained

congrats ty!
