10 months

max facts at 10 months:

crawls like crazy

can climb up a whole staircase (with mommy nearby)

likes to play in the bathtub and loves the water

likes to eat grapes (cut up), cheese quesdillas, and cheerios

does not like to try new finger foods (so still eats quite a bit of smashed food)

loves to roll his sports balls and chase after them

likes to read (especially "baby einstein's mirror me"-see below)

loves to stand up and cruise around on our furniture

likes to play with door stoppers

wants to be in the same room with mommy and daddy

likes to watch martha speaks on pbs (especially when sitting in mom's lap with his paci)

enjoys watching older kids run around and play (especially his cousins)

such a cutie...especially with that 'fresh out of the bath' smell :)

storytime and psalms

this week, max and i really settled into our new fall schedule. its really fun for him to be at a fun and flexible age so we can get out and do stuff.....

on tuesdays, we are going to the southlake public library for "lap storytime"...it's for kids who can sit up and crawl but not walk yet and it was so fun! they do fingerplays/songs/read books for about 15 min and then they get toys out and let the kids play. i think it was really good for max to be around kids his own age and it will be fun to see who the "regulars" are and whether we click with any of them enough to go to lunch after sometime!

on thursdays, we are driving to fort worth so i can go to the womens bible study at christ chapel. it was one of the few thurs morning bible studies i could find and when i attended christ chapel and their focus worship service some in college, i really loved that church. it's different to go to a bible study where you know NO ONE, but i like it. it really makes me realize how i should work on being more friendly and when im somewhere and there is a new person, i should make a geniune effort to include that person. i can tell this church and the womens bible study really want to take care of the moms in the group. max can stay in the child care from 9:30-1:15 and it doesn't cost a thing. bible study is over at noon but they want all the ladies to go to lunch and just spend time in fellowship before picking up their kiddos and heading back out into the world....wow, what a blessing....the bible study is called "shout to the Lord" and it's on psalms...very fitting for a family trying to figure out where to worship.
