5 months
max is five months old and just as cute as can be...he really is a great baby who rarely ever fusses and we feel so blessed that he continues to be a healthy boy!
max started eating rice cereal about a week ago. he is still getting the hang of it so we are easing him in. right now he only eats a really small amount at breakfast and lunch, but soon we will add dinner, followed by the introduction of veggies and fruits. this has been an adjustment for me too, just figuring out how to help him eat and wondering if he likes it, etc. he doesn't cry though and seems to really like sitting in his highchair so thats good.
one thing i am looking forward to is dinnertime as a family. i love turning off the tv, not answering the phone and just taking 30 min or so to talk about our days...and now max can join us!

repetition
i realize that blogs and facebook can get a little repetitive. but in order to fully satisfy all the vanderveer fans in the world, what else can i do?
easter
easter started out eventfully for us. we had an early flight out of atlanta so we could get back for joey to lead worship at church. well, a 5 hour delay ruined that plan, and even though we missed church, we still had to wear our easter outfits.
we had lunch at my mom's house. max enjoyed time with aunt amy and uncle tyler (g, pop, and aunt kacy and uncle jd were there too..i just don't have pics)

this past weekend, the vanderveer family traveled to atlanta for my best friend from high school's wedding. it was a wonderfully fun weekend!
here we are before the ceremony (i joined the boys for their men in black pose). max wore the same tux that logan wore to our wedding nearly 5 years ago. needless to say, he was one popular guy that night.
the wedding was at this beautiful farm outside of atlanta in a town called serenbe...we stayed at the inn right on the property. it was a great bed and breakfast that i highly recommend if you are ever needing a place to stay in georgia.
here's the bride marta and me at the bachelorette party...it was so much fun to get to reminisce and talk about what the future holds!

happy boy
-playing in his bouncer
-"earthquake"s with daddy
-tickling in his little armpits
what makes mommy happy?
-when daddy gets home from work and kisses her and max
-that max will watch a baby einstein movie from start to finish so she can shower
-knowing that God has truly blessed her life
