yep, i know. i may be the last person in the world to join facebook. even joey joined before me. my mom and my sister had a bet on how long after i had max it would take for me to join...well, 3 months...
...and since i am so unknowing of the facebook world, i would ask that you make it as easy on me as possible and become my friend. whatever that means....

3 months
g baby
here's max modeling his gdiapers....we are using these when we are at home, but i decided they were way too complicated to use when out and about. they are a combo cloth/disposable diaper and so far seem to be working well....if you want to know more you can check out gdiapers.com

super max!
happy valentines day!

joey played at a dnow this past weekend, but he got to take a break on saturday to spend a little time with his valentine and our sweetheart son. he came over to kristin's moms house in arlington to help us get some 3 month pics of max....max loves to smile at his daddy!
and this little outfit was a gift my dad and step-mom...who knew max was so serious about tractors?

the first boo-boo
when i got max up from his nap i saw this...

...a pretty big scratch across his forehead. this is so sad for 2 reasons: #1, max is meeting my old class at school tomorrow, getting 3 month pics taken saturday, and having a sip and see shower on sunday with my mom's friends from church. and scratches do not make the best first impression. #2, i cut his fingernails two days ago but i cut too close on a couple nails and made him bleed :( ....well, turns out that in all that drama, i missed a nail and this must of been the one used in today's scratch. guess i need to work on my mommy manicure skills!

tales of a monday night
i'm writing this blog more for myself then the rest of the world because i wanted to remember this story...hope you think it as cute as i do!
so about 5 nights ago, max started sleeping through the night (10pm-6am) and i couldn't be happier....i kept telling myself not to get my hopes up too much bc i know he is supposed to go through a growth spurt soon and that could mean getting back up to eat in the middle of the night. so last night, when i heard him start to fuss, i looked at the clock. 4:07am. shoot, i thought, but then i remembered what i had read in some book (i've read a few about sleeping schedules so i really can't remember)...sometimes babies will start to wake up out of habit, not necessarily because they need to eat. so as i climbed the stairs i decided i would turn him over, give him his paci, and see if he would go back to sleep. as i walked into his room, he got quiet and when i peeked over the crib at him he had the BIGGEST smile on his face...it was like he was saying "GOTCHA MOM!"...it was all i could do not to pick him up and snuggle that happy boy. luckily though, i remembered that it was 4 oclock in the morning so i just rolled him over and went back downstairs. by the time i got back to my bed, he was already back asleep and i didn't hear another peep until 6:10am.
sometimes i really can't believe how smart (and a little manipulative) babies can be...i'm sure max will continue to keep me on my toes!
